Emery Schubert

Emery Schubert is a Professor in Music and an Australian Research Council Future Fellow. He is co-leader of the Empirical Musicology Group, and Music-Science, both at the University of New South Wales. His primary research area is in music psychology and emotional responses to music. He was President from 2008 to 2009 of the Australian Music and Psychology Society (AMPS) and serves on the editorial board of key journals in the field of music psychology. Emery was on the organising committee for the International Conference on Music Perception and Cognition when it was held in Sydney in 2002, and among other conference administration, founded the International Conference on Music Communication Science with Kate Stevens.
